People often ask me why I have a passion and love to simply make a difference; to transform lives, and communities. Why am I driven to go beyond a person’s background, race, environment, beliefs, education, physical, economical, or social status and seek to discover misplaced thoughts and behaviors that lead individuals to an unhealthy lifestyle? In my search to answer these questions and my quest to understand what drives me to be an "agent of change", I recall the times when I too was lost and in search of identifying who I was.

As a youth and young adult who once displayed self-destructive behaviors, it is easy for me to relate to a community of individuals who are crying out for help through tears that are not always visible. It was through many trials, adversities, tribulations, and a silent cry that God birthed the vision and mission of "Beyond The Exterior".

He charged me to "GO Beyond the Exterior" and transform lives beyond what the eye can see! From this charge, Beyond The Exterior served various communities and our services have been implemented in many organizations, schools, prisons, shelters, drugs and alcohol rehabilitation centers, homes recreational centers, summer camps and agencies in the Tri-State area for over 20 years.
